Simone Sutter studied Communication and Social Sciences (B.A.) at the University of Lucerne from 2010 to 2014 and subsequently worked in management consulting, as a survey consultant and project manager in various industries. From 2018, she worked as a research assistant in the Department of Pneumology at the University Hospital Zurich. In July 2020, she took over the study coordination in the field of altitude medicine and COPD. Since July 2022, she has been completing the Master of Science in Public Health at Paracelsus University Salzburg, in addition to her work in research.

Since September 2023, she is employed as a study coordinator in the nursing science research group at the Institute for Implementation Science in Health Care at the University of Zurich and is responsible for the operational implementation of the FICUS Trial.
