This November, Professor Per Nilsen from Linköping University, Sweden, will give a talk entitled “Do old habits die hard? The challenge of de-implementing low-value care”.
Implementation science aims to narrow the know-do gap in evidence-based health care. Many interventions delivered today lack an evidence base or have been found to be ineffective or even harmful. Improvement in evidence-based care delivery therefore requires de-implementation: the removal of so called low-value care. This lecture aims to explain what low-value care (LVC) is and what the determinants, strategies, and challenges for de-implementation of LVC are.
Wednesday, November 23rd 16:00-17:00 Universitätsspital Zürich NORD 1, C301 Frauenklinikstrasse 10 8091 Zürich
