Congratulations to Prof. Dr. Rahel Naef
Congratulations to Prof. Dr. Rahel Naef for receiving a SNF research grant for the project: “A new program to improve communication and support for family members of critically ill patients in intensive care (FICUS Trial).”
The Swiss National Science Foundation has been funding clinical trials in under-researched topics in medicine since 2016. for the first time, it successfully involved patient and public representatives in evaluating the applications.
The aim of the SNF's Investigator Initiated Clinical Trials (IICT) program is to answer medical questions that are important to society but not a priority for industry funding. This year, representatives of patients and the public were involved in the evaluation process for the first time.
