FICUS Implementation Study
Implementation of a multicomponent family support intervention in adult intensive care units: an embedded mixed-methods multiple case study (FICUS implementation study)
The FICUS multicenter study was launched in June 2022 to investigate the effectiveness of a nurse-led, interprofessional family support intervention in 16 Swiss intensive care units. Successful intervention implementation is expected to be influenced by context. The aim of this study is to investigate how the implementation of the family support intervention is influenced by different contextual factors (barriers and facilitating factors) and which strategies are needed for successful and sustainable implementation in the context of intensive care units.
The study is funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF).
