Prof. Dr. Rahel Naef elected as a Director on the Board of Directors of the International Family Nursing Association (IFNA)

Prof. Dr. Rahel Naef, Head of the Implementation Science in Nursing Research Group at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zurich and Head of the Center for Clinical Nursing Science at University Hospital Zurich, has been elected as a Director on the Board of Directors of the International Family Nursing Association (IFNA), effective July 2026.

The IFNA is an international professional organization that promotes family nursing through research, education, practice, and collaboration. Its mission is to strengthen family nursing worldwide by facilitating knowledge exchange, supporting evidence-based practice, and fostering research, education, and professional development.

In her role as Director, Prof. Dr. Naef will contribute to the Association’s activities. She conducts research on family engagement and support in specialized palliative care and critical care, including the implementation of FICUS®, a nurse-led, interprofessional family care model in critical care.
